Reneé Hose is a Baltimore, MD native and grew up in Annapolis as well as Western MD . Reneé was raised as the daughter of a pastor and a musical family . Gospel music was the earliest musical influence . Her musical proclivity was evident at a very young age as she begin teaching herself piano at the age of four .
Reneé toured with the Christian rock band , CrossRoads in the 1980’s and they recorded a self titled full vinyl LP in DC.
In 1993 Renee won a songwriting competition at a music festival in Delaware and was awarded recording time for a three song demo and received radio AirPlay for the winning song , “Addictive Personality”.
Renee stepped away from music for several years to run a business with her then husband . The marriage ended in August of 2009 and Renee decided it was time to get back to her musical roots and her life’s passion and pursued a full time music career in the Southwest Florida music scene . She began as a solo acoustic act and she is a local favorite in clubs , bars and various other venues with her band , Relentless Fire and her duo , Acoustic Fire.
In 2019 Renee recorded an album at her son, Nathans state of the art studio in Harrisburg PA ( Attic Studios) . Two singles were released prior to the full album . “The Other Side” was the first single , followed by “Down Easy “ . The song Down Easy won a semi finalist spot in the International Songwriting Competition. ISC 2020. Out of 26,000 entries the semifinalist list was 9% of that total .
Then came US41 Radio and Matt Mangas - owner . He began playing a couple of the tunes and Down Easy became the most played and requested song subsequently winning the Number One song of the year in 2021.
Renee continues to write and plans to record more in the near future . Meanwhile she is a full time working musician and plays with her band, Relentless Fire and duo Acoustic Fire, from Marco Island to Sarasota .
